This club is designed for people wanting to work with Chalk Paint. You can bring your own piece to work on and myself and/or Lucia will be on hand to help and guide you through your painting process, whether that’s the prep work, painting or a specific technique you are trying to achieve. Your piece can then stay at our shop until the following session(s) you attend, enabling you to continue to work on it with us until it is completed.

Welcome to the Chalk Tuesday Club

This club runs from 10:30am until 13:00/13:30pm every Tuesday . We will also switch to the odd Tuesday afternoon or evening to accommodate those that can’t make the mornings.

This club is designed for people wanting to work with Chalk Paint. You can bring your own piece to work on and myself and/or Lucia will be on hand to help and guide you through your painting process, whether that’s the prep work, painting or a specific technique you are trying to achieve. Your piece can then stay at our store until the following session(s) you attend, enabling you to continue to work on it with us until it is completed.

These sessions are based in our Alcantarilha store next to TIBI pet store. Members will be able to not only use our knowledge but we have also invested in quality equipment. We have professional sanding machines, rollers, brushes, tools and more. There will be information on who to follow on Facebook & Insta, books to help you get inspired and news on whats happening in the world of Chalk Painting.

We will also be doing regular demos on techniques such as Gilding | Ombre | Frottage | Colour Blending | Colour washing | Basic Woodwork | Hand painting | Faux Stone | Image Transfer | Craqueleur | Woven look | Sleek & Smooth | Lampshade Painting | Using Pearlescent Glaze | Mouldings & Resin | Gold Leaf | Transfers | Marbling | Patina | Wet Wax | Fabric Painting | Saltwash | Raised Stencilling | Rough Luxe | Colour distress and any suggestions given to us by members. These sessions will last up to approx 1 hour and will take place during the Tuesday Chalk Club times.

If you want to paint but don’t have your own pieces we can provide you with some options from our stock that will be available to purchase at discounted prices. We can even look at selling the finished project in our Kit & Caboodle shops in Almancil & Alcantarilha if you do a great job!

Members will also receive 10% off all Annie Sloan Products and will be the first to hear about news, events, new products, and even K&C stock!

Costs

€25 per Tuesday – Minimum Purchase for membership €100 i.e. 4 Tuesdays

(Your sessions can be used when you like they do not need to be consecutive but must be taken within 12 months). Buy 6 sessions get one free, Buy 8 sessions for €200 and get 2 free making each sessions just €20! The club will be closed July & Aug..

Members can bring guests, particularly on demo days. Guest admission is €35 and Guests cannot use a Members session, they must purchase their own session. Demo days will be available for guests to book via the website.

Whats included & what’s not:

  • Includes the use of our knowledge & equipment such as, brushes, rollers, stencils (excluding stick n style), sander but excludes the products for your own projects i.e. the paint, wax, gold leaf or other products needed for you to complete your own say bedside cabinets;
  • Includes all the materials for you to practice any demo sessions on the demo day, with a few exceptions such as Mouldings & Resin, Patina, Transfers, Decoupage. These sessions will incur a €5-€10 supplement;
  • Sugar soap and water are free and readily available;
  • 10% off the price of all our Annie Sloan products;
  • There will be plenty of space for you to work in however the clearing up post painting, washing brushes etc is not included, members are asked to please do their own before they leave. The products for cleaning are free and readily available;
  • There will be an honesty box for tea, coffee, juice, cake etc. Members & guests are welcome to bring their own change to Tea, coffee, juice, cake, sandwiches etc are available from our Kind Cafe located within the store and members & guests receive a 10% discount;
  • Plenty of free parking outside the store.

General terms & conditions:

  • Bought sessions must be taken within 12 months;
  • We ask all members to give us an image of the piece they wish to bring along with an idea of what they want to achieve;
  • Members own pieces must to completed or removed within a reasonable timescale;
  • Projects must be of a reasonable size i.e. fit in your car. Anything larger will need to be agreed;
  • Any completed projects that are sold through Kit & caboodle will incur a commission of 2% to cover admin such as picture taking, Algarve Express collection from Sao Bras, website listing & marketing etc. Kit & Caboodle have the ultimate say on the sale price of the piece;
  • Demo days will be scheduled and advertised via the website. Places will always be given to members before guests;
  • Guests must be registered for non demo days via email at philippa@kitandcaboodle.pt before the date they wish to attend along with details of their project;
  • We only work with Annie Sloan Chalk & Satin paint. No other chalk paint brands can be brought to the sessions. Products that aren’t sold by Kit & Caboodle i.e. Transfers, stencils etc are allowed.
